St Mark’s is a successful, happy and welcoming rural school serving the children of Natland, the Oaks, Oxenholme and beyond.  A recent Ofsted inspection report (September 2011) judged St Mark’s to be a good school with outstanding features. The opening paragraph of the report states, ‘St Mark’s is a good school with a friendly and welcoming environment . The Headteacher has established a good climate for learning and a clear focus on raising achievement.’ We are very proud of our school and its place at the heart of the local community.

Our aim is to maintain high academic standards year on year but more importantly work hard to ensure good progress is made by all children throughout their time at St Mark’s.  Consistent with our caring and inclusive outlook any child with particular and special needs is well supported by our dedicated team of support staff.
